00:04:44What a catch!
00:04:45What a catch!
00:04:47Bourjos just ropped hardy of a home run!
00:04:50That's why bourjos is playing center field and trout comes over to give him the high five.

00:10:58You saw mike trout do this last year against the orioles, hardy and now we see it this year.
00:11:06What a catch.
00:11:07However, the orioles did win the game.
00:11:10And the countdown continues here.
00:11:15Number five.
00:11:17The big w.

00:11:20changing dives, exchanging volleys.
00:11:32Maier with the full extension on this dive and then gets up and puts it away with the smash.

00:12:01That's what he does.
00:12:02Back to wimbledon.
00:12:04Hewitt against dustin brown the brown can win the set if he wins this point.
00:12:10Brown -- oh, the dive.
00:12:15Come on!
00:12:18Brown would get the upset in >> puig.
00:12:35Runs it back to first.

00:13:25June 8.
00:13:27You know he has the live bat.
00:13:36>> Puig does it again!
00:13:39>> Vin scully with the call.
00:13:41We're going to measure puig's throw.
00:13:44219 Feet away.
00:13:47Look at that accuracy!
00:13:512.82 Seconds.
00:13:52Doesn't hit the ground.
00:13:57Absolutely perfect.
00:13:58What a start to a career for yasiel puig from cuba.
00:14:02June 13, vernon wells is clutch.
00:14:05>> Vernon wells is coming in.
00:14:09And here comes -- orgese, throw to the plarktse is there a collision?
00:14:16Stewart.
00:14:17Hangs on.
00:14:17>> What a play by wells.
00:14:20The a's are able to celebrate.
00:14:22Picks it up on one hop.
00:14:30172 Feet.
00:14:30Not quite as far as puig.
00:14:31Wells, the great throw to extend the game which the yankees eventually lost in 18 innings.
00:14:35To our baseball.
00:14:36Crew.
00:14:36Adnan virk, compare the throws.
00:14:38>> All right.
00:14:40Thank you.
00:14:41So, guys, we saw the plays.
00:14:44Which do you like better?
00:14:46>> Vernon wells.
00:14:48Throw to the plate, you got to throw him out.
00:14:51Great job.
00:14:53>> I like that play, too, except I don't care about the throw.
00:14:58The catch was the thing there.
00:15:05Being able to hang on to the ball after getting hammered at the plate.
00:15:07>> That's how we see it here.
00:15:08Pretty straightforward.
00:15:09Do you think puig should be an all-star?
00:15:13No, just kidding.
00:15:13Back time-out >> and our countdown tons of " heat by -- down by three with five seconds to play.
00:15:24>> Out to allen.
00:15:26Bang!
00:15:27Fy game with five seconds remaining!
00:15:32>> Ray allen called it the most clutch shot in his hall of fame career.
00:15:39The heat steal game six from the spurs and go on to win game seven.
00:15:47>> Ray alen was backpedaling had he receives chris bosh's outlet pass, which meant he had to transfer his backward momentum to a vertical launch.
00:15:59He does it without his heels ever touching the floor.
00:16:06Allen normally catches and releases a three-pointer in an average .073 second.
00:16:13But because of the backpedalt takes him an stro tenth of a second to get off the shot.
00:16:22Might have been enough to also change his release.
00:16:26Espn's analysis has revealed allen typically launches three-pointers at an angle close tthe optimal 4 gers -- 48 degrees but this shot left his hand at a flatter angle, and it effectively retusse the area of the ball and cuts through the hoop.
00:16:54If his lateral aim is off by one even degree left or right, the ball hits the iron.
00:17:01That's a point of relief.
00:17:04That's a variance less than the width of a single cord on the net.
00:17:11For espn's "sports science," I'm john brenkus.
00:17:16>> Thank you, john.
00:17:19Now number two.

00:17:319:00 Left.
00:17:31Oh, electricron blocking tiago splitter at the rim!
00:17:37Nasty on this game two victory for the heat.
00:17:41Everyone talking about the block after the game.
00:17:43Let's hear how james and his teammates talk about it.
00:17:46>> You have that great block on tiago splitter.
00:17:52Could you talk about that play and how it affected the game?
00:17:56>> At thisaga splitter, he was going down the middle of the paint.
00:18:01>> Tiago actually cranked it back like this.
00:18:06>> A lot of players wouldn't go for that.
00:18:07>> As a shot blocker, that's a dream, when big guys go and turn, open up.
00:18:13It's a dream.
00:18:15>> I was just trying to protect the rim the best way I do -- could.
00:18:20>> Oh, what a block at james!
00:18:24Throws it back at splitter, who was ready to dunk!
00:18:27>> He blocked it.
00:18:29Seen that dumbing.
00:18:30Kind of figured he was going to block that one bautista, just because of the angling that he had.
00:18:38>> It takes great courage to be able to go oup -- up and make one ofhose plays.
00:18:46He and dwyane always make those plays.
00:18:49>> That's why I thought it was the first overpowering moment he it -- had in the series.

00:00:56>> Look at pop.
00:00:56>> Can you imagine if you did something wrong and you had to look at popovich?
00:01:00>> Imagine if you're one of his kids.
00:01:03>> Not even.
00:01:03>> Number 42, pitiful pit stop.
00:01:07After leaving pit road, nascar driver -- >> oh!
00:01:12>> Went an entire lap with a tire jack wedged under his tire.
00:01:20>> His car is jacked up.
00:01:21Look at that.
00:01:24>> Shouldn't there be sparks flying on the frack?
00:01:26>> Number 41, daring defender.

00:01:59Look at that.
00:02:01Whoop!
00:02:01Whoa, whoa, whoa.
00:02:03Well, we can say the goal was sharp, but the celebration, not so sharp.
00:02:07>> It's not a celebration.
00:02:09>> Number 39, warriors, bro.
00:02:12It's a warriors' fan who was still salty about losing to the spurs earlier in the playoffs probably.
00:02:21During a finals game in miami.
00:02:22>> See?
00:02:24Now all the reporters out there need to learn from that fan.
00:02:27Don't be scared of popovich.
00:02:30>> Dude currently in basement holding cell.
00:02:36A picture was tweeted of the same fan.
00:02:37>> Oh, man, they put him down.

00:04:31Ain't nothing wrong with falling down and faking it.

00:04:44>> Don't say nothing bad about him.
00:04:45But never mind, let's talk about him.
00:04:48Why do superstars always wear leather?
00:04:51>> Key shawn could have chased him down.
00:04:54>> We have to blame eddie murphy.
00:04:56He started that.
00:04:57>> He did start it.

00:12:15Brown -- oh, the dive.

00:13:43>> Vin scully with the call.
00:13:45We're going to measure puig's look at that accuracy!
00:13:552.82 Seconds.
00:13:56Doesn't hit the ground.
00:14:01Absolutely perfect.
00:14:02What a start to a career for yasiel puig from cuba.
00:14:06June 13, vernon wells is clutch.
00:14:09>> Vernon wells is coming in.
00:14:13And here comes -- orgese, throw to the plarktse is there a collision?

00:14:26Picks it up on one hop.
00:14:34172 Feet.
00:14:34Not quite as far as puig.
00:14:35Wells, the great throw to extend the game which the yankees eventually lost in 18 innings.
00:14:39To our baseball.
00:14:40Crew.
00:14:40Adnan virk, compare the throws.
00:14:42>> All right.
00:14:44Thank you.
00:14:45So, guys, we saw the plays.
00:14:48Which do you like better?
00:14:50>> Vernon wells.
00:14:52Throw to the plate, you got to throw him out.
00:14:55Great job.
00:14:57>> I like that play, too, except I don't care about the throw.
00:15:02The catch was the thing there.
00:15:09Being able to hang on to the ball after getting hammered at the plate.
00:15:11>> That's how we see it here.
00:15:12Pretty straightforward.
00:15:13Do you think puig should be an all-star?
00:15:17No, just kidding.
00:15:17Back time-out >> and our countdown tons of " heat by -- down by three with five seconds to play.
00:15:28>> Out to allen.
00:15:30Bang!
00:15:31Fy game with five seconds remaining!
00:15:36>> Ray allen called it the most clutch shot in his hall of fame career.
00:15:43The heat steal game six from the spurs and go on to win game seven.
00:15:52>> Ray alen was backpedaling had he receives chris bosh's outlet pass, which meant he had to transfer his backward momentum to a vertical launch.
00:16:04He does it without his heels ever touching the floor.
00:16:10Allen normally catches and releases a three-pointer in an average .073 second.
00:16:18But because of the backpedal it takes him an stro tenth of a second to get off the shot.
00:16:27Might have been enough to also change his release.
00:16:31Espn's analysis has revealed allen typically launches three-pointers at an angle close to the optimal 4 gers -- 48 degrees but this shot left his hand at a flatter angle, and it effectively retusse the area of the ball and cuts through the hoop.
00:16:58If his lateral aim is off by one even degree left or right, the ball hits the iron.
00:17:06That's a point of relief.
00:17:08That's a variance less than the width of a single cord on the net.
00:17:15For espn's "sports science," I'm john brenkus.
00:17:20>> Thank you, john.
00:17:23Now number two.

00:17:46Everyone talking about the block after the game.
00:17:48Let's hear how james and his teammates talk about it.
00:17:51>> You have that great block on tiago splitter.
00:17:56Could you talk about that play and how it affected the game?
00:18:01>> At thisaga splitter, he was going down the middle of the paint.
00:18:05>> Tiago actually cranked it back like this.
00:18:10>> A lot of players wouldn't go for that.
00:18:11>> As a shot blocker, that's a dream, when big guy turn, open up.
00:18:18It's a dream.
00:18:20>> I was just trying to protect the rim the best way I do -- could.
00:18:24>> Block at james!
00:18:29Throws it back at splitter, who was ready to dunk!
00:18:31>> He blocked it.
00:18:34Seen that dumbing.
00:18:35Kind of figured he was going to block that one bautista, just because of the angling that he had.
00:18:42>> It takes great courage to be able to go oup -- up and make one of those plays.
00:18:50He and dwyane always make those plays.
00:18:53>> That's why I thought it was the first overpowering moment he it -- had in the series.

00:25:52Bourjos just robbed hardy of a home run!
00:26:10>> The throw to the plate is there.
00:26:13Collision and stewart hangs on.

00:26:24>> Oh, what a block from james.
00:26:27Throws it back at splitter, who was ready to dunk!
00:26:32>> Pretty, pretty good.
00:26:33But not good enough to be number one.
00:26:36Sure, those plays were super.
00:26:39They were scintillating.
00:26:41With you -- but they weren't saucy.
00:26:45And if you want to be number one on the "top 10 plays of the month" you have to deliver the sauce like the chicago blackhawks did in game six.
00:26:55It appeared there would be a game seven.
00:26:58The bruins leading laid in the third when the blackhawks were able to tie it up.
00:27:04Play number one.
00:27:06The blackhawks had just appeared to be on the losing end of things when this happened.
00:27:11>> Hawks playing with an empty net.
00:27:16Score!
00:27:2216 to go in the third period!
00:27:26>> Good saving by rask.
00:27:30Oduya.
00:27:33Scores!
00:27:34In front of the net!
00:27:41>> Holy schnikey.
00:27:43Again, it appeared the blackhawks were toast, but first jonathan toews with the gorgeous pass to bryan bickell.
00:27:52Then tuukka rask gets a bit out of position.
00:27:54He slips.
00:27:56As the puck hits the post, able to get it over the top of the paddle.
00:28:03Back to bolin.
00:28:08He lost one glove.
00:28:09Figures well, I'll just flip the other one off.
00:28:13Almost like an overtime celebration.
00:28:181971, Bobby orr, a stanley cup.
00:28:2642 Years later to the day, the colorado avalanche, remember on the goal in overtime, won the cup against the florida panthers?
00:28:39Tampa bay lightning.
00:28:41Ruslan fedotenko.
00:28:43The celebration of stanley cups past.
00:28:48As jonathan toews raises the cup again for the city of chicago as they beat the bruins in game six and win their second stanley cup in three years.
00:29:00Another top play, the amazing turnout by the chicago blackhawks fans in the city of chicago following that stanley cup championship.
00:29:08Their celebration was off the charts.
00:29:11Certainly worthy of a number one play that.
00:29:14Was fun.
00:29:14Thank you for letting me stop in for robert flores.
00:00:05>> "Sportsnation" is present by toyota.

00:00:24>> Let's go, baby.
00:00:25>> Number 44, phil fails.
00:00:30Phil mickelson walks on to the open and leaves not one, but two, marcellus, ladies hanging on their high-five attempts.
00:00:38>> I thought golf was a gentleman's sport.
00:00:41>> Yeah, lefty left them hanging right there.

00:01:27>> His car is jacked up.
00:01:28Look at that.
00:01:30>> Shouldn't there be sparks flying on the frack?
00:01:33>> Number 41, daring defender.
00:01:36An italian defender tries too clear from the box, but ends up getting caught in the net.
00:01:42Oh!
00:01:42>> Oh, look out!
00:01:46When your cleats come back to haunt you.
00:01:48He got caught up in the spaghetti in the net.
00:01:51>> Who says slapstick isn't funny.
00:01:54>> It is.
00:01:54>> Number 40, celebrating on ice.
00:01:58Blackhawks' left winner sharpe with the go-ahead goal in the playoffs.
00:02:03Falls down.
00:02:04>> That was a heavy hand right there.
00:02:06Look at that.
00:02:07Whoop!
00:02:08Whoa, whoa, whoa.
00:02:09Well, we can say the goal was sharp, but the celebration, not so sharp.
00:02:13>> It's not a celebration.
00:02:16>> Number 39, warriors, bro.
00:02:18It's a warriors' fan who was still salty about losing to the spurs earlier in the playoffs probably.
00:02:28During a finals game in miami.
00:02:29>> See?
00:02:31Now all the reporters out there need to learn from that fan.
00:02:33Don't be scared of basement holding cell.

00:03:01Look at that.
00:03:02That is funny.
00:03:02Probably kind of hard to see with a shark head on your face.
00:03:06>> The way the legs go out.
00:03:08>> The left leg is trying to get back on the board.
00:03:11[Laughter] no, sir.
00:03:13>> That's a giraffe.
00:03:15>> Oh, that's a giraffe?
00:03:17Oh.

00:03:53He's looking for a ride home.
00:03:56>> Number 36, shane's selflessness.
00:04:00Shane battier patted down lebron's arm with a towel without being asked to.
00:04:04Marcellus, why don't you do this for me?
00:04:06>> Because you never do anything -- >> you do it, but I always have to ask.
00:04:10>> When have you done anything where you broke a sweat?

00:05:42But he makes the catch.
00:05:43Now back to bourjos'.
00:05:46Espn access shows us bourjos runs almost 100 feet to the wall.
00:05:528 feet to get up and snare it.
00:05:58Time it perfectly.
00:05:59And make the unbelievable catch.
00:06:02However, the orioles won the game.
00:06:04Five down, five to go.

00:10:38Clarence anderson with the punt return for the ages.
00:10:40By the end of this the other teamretty much gave up.
00:10:45They looked very tired.
00:10:47Number nine, confederations cup.

00:11:20Number six, angels-orioles.
00:11:23You saw mike trout do this last year against the orioles, hardy and now we see it this year.
00:11:31What a catch.
00:11:32However, the orioles did win the game.
00:11:35And the countdown continues here.
00:11:40Nuer five.
00:11:42The big w.
00:11:42Wimbledon.
00:11:45Djokovic.
00:11:49Check out these guys exchanging dives, exchanging volleys.
00:11:57Maier with the full extension on this dive and then gets up and puts it away with the smash.
00:12:05Djokovic would win, though, in straight sets.
00:12:08Very next day, dustin brown and lleyton hewitt.
00:12:14Hewitt.
00:12:17Known for yelling come on after big points, getting himself pumped up.
00:12:22Listen the >> come on!
00:12:25>> Yeah.
00:12:26That's what he does.
00:12:27Back to wimbledon.
00:12:29Hewitt against dustin brown the brown can win the set if he wins this point.
00:12:35Brown -- oh, the dive.
00:12:40Come on!
00:12:43Brown would get the upset in >> puig.
00:12:59Runs it back to first.
00:13:01Out.
00:13:02Hello, yasiel puig.
00:13:04Skies that one, right field.
00:13:07That one on its way.
00:13:08See you later!
00:13:10>> He's like a cartoon character the >> fly ball to right field.
00:13:15No.
00:13:15You're kidding.
00:13:16You're kidding!

00:13:26Yasiel puig.
00:13:26As you saw earlier in the show with mike troutth of, kind of new breed of baseball player.
00:13:33Looks like a football player.
00:13:35A mini bo jackson.
00:13:37Big, strong, fast, and powerful.
00:13:41When he's bath or in the field.
00:13:44Number four, bobby orr and check out the host.
00:13:50June 8.
00:13:52You know he has the live bat.
00:14:01>> Puig does it again!
00:14:04>> Vin scully with the call.
00:14:06We're going to measure puig's throw.
00:14:09219 Feet away.
00:14:12Look at that accuracy!
00:14:162.82 Seconds.
00:14:17Doesn't hit the ground.
00:14:22Absolutely perfect.
00:14:23What a start to a career for yasiel puig from cuba.
00:14:27June 13, vernon wells is clutch.
00:14:30>> Vernon wells is coming in.
00:14:34And here comes -- orgese, throw to the plarktse is there a collision?
00:14:41Stewart.
00:14:42Hangs on.
00:14:42>> What a play the a's are able to celebrate.
00:14:47Picks it up on one hop.
00:14:54172 Feet.
00:14:55Not quite as far as puig.
00:14:55Wells, the great throw to extend the game which the yankees eventually lost in 18 innings.
00:15:00To our baseball.
00:15:01Crew.
00:15:01Adnan virk, compare the throws.
00:15:03>> All right.
00:15:05Thank you.
00:15:06So, guys, we saw the plays.
00:15:09Which do you like better?
00:15:11>> Vernon wells.
00:15:13Throw to the plate, you got to throw him out.
00:15:16Great job.
00:15:18>> I like that play, too, except I don't care about the throw.
00:15:23The catch was the thing there.
00:15:29Being able to hang on to the ball after getting hammered at the plate.
00:15:31>> That's how we see it here.
00:15:33Pretty straightforward.
00:15:34Do you think puig should be an all-star?
00:15:37No, just kidding.
00:15:38Back time-out >> and our countdown tons of " heat by -- down by three with five seconds to play.
00:15:49>> Out to allen.
00:15:51Bang!
00:15:52Fy game with five seconds remaining!
00:15:57>> Ray allen called it the most clutch shot in his hall of fame career.
00:16:04The heat steal game six from the spurs and go on to win game seven.
00:16:12>> Ray alen was backpedaling had he receives chris bosh's outlet pass, which meant he had to transfer his backward momentum to a vertical launch.
00:16:24He does it without his heels ever touching the floor.
00:16:31Allen normally catches and releases a three-pointer in an average .073 second.
00:16:38But because of the backpedal it takes him an stro tenth of a second to get off the shot.
00:16:47Might have been enough to also change his release.
00:16:51Espn's analysis has revealed allen typically launches three-pointers at an angle close to the optimal 4 gers -- 48 degrees but this shot left his hand at a flatter angle, and it effectively retusse the area of the ball and cuts through the hoop.
00:17:19If his lateral aim is off by one even degree left or right, the ball hits the iron.
00:17:26That's a point of relief.
00:17:29That's a variance less than the width of a single cord on the net.
00:17:36For espn's "sports science," I'm john brenkus.
00:17:41>> Thank you, john.
00:17:44Now number two.
00:17:48Nba finals, game two.
00:17:54Heat-spurs.
00:17:55Fourth quarter.
00:17:569:00 Left.
00:17:56Oh, electricron blocking tiago splitter at the rim!
00:18:02Nasty on this game two victory for the h everyone talking about the block after the game.
00:18:08Let's hear how james a his teammates talk about it.
00:18:11>> You have that great block on tiago splitter.
00:18:17Could you talk about that play and how it affected the game?
00:18:21>> At thisaga splitter, he was going down the middle of the paint.
00:18:25>> Tiago actually cranked it back like this.
00:18:30>> A lot of players wouldn't go for that.
00:18:31>> As a shot blocker, that's a dream, when big guys go and turn, open up.
00:18:38It's a dream.
00:18:40>> I was just trying to protect the rim the best way I do -- could.
00:18:45>> Oh, what a block at james!
00:18:49Throws it back at splitter, who was ready to dunk!
00:18:52>> He blocked it.
00:18:54Seen that dumbing.
00:18:55Kind of figured he was going to that he had.
00:19:02>> It takes great courage to be able to go oup -- up and make one of those plays.
00:19:10He and dwyane always make those plays.
00:19:14>> That's why I thought it was the first overpowering moment series.
00:19:20>> You're going to be on we need to cue the wacky music for the top three.
00:19:40Let me hear it.
00:19:41Thank you.
00:19:42♪♪
00:19:43>> all right.
00:19:44Dirk nowitzki celebrity soccer.
00:19:48That alone is interesting.
00:19:55He does not smell like cabbage.
00:19:57Number two.
00:20:00Another net mess.
00:20:02David wright.
00:20:04Check this out.
00:20:04Whee, over first base.
00:20:06Throw to the plate.

00:19:51>> We're going to give you our top five quarterbacks.
00:19:54There will be a disagreement.
00:21:07doing?
00:21:07hey.
00:21:08Using night-vision goggles to keep an eye on my spicy buffalo wheat thins.
00:21:10Who's gonna take your wheat thins?
00:21:12I don't know.
00:21:12An intruder, the dog, bigfoot.
00:21:14Could you get the light?
00:21:15[ loud crash ] WHAT IS GOING ON?!
00:21:17Honey, I was close!it's a yeti!
00:21:19[ Male Announcer ]MUST! HAVE! WHEAT THINS!
00:22:57>> Welcome back to "sports nation" presented by toyota.
00:23:05>> Espn continues its celebration.
00:23:07It's a celebration of title ix, " the no limits masterpiece.
00:23:14Tomorrow at 8:00 on espn.
00:23:19Welcome back.
00:23:20We're at the white board.
00:23:22We'll rank our top five quarterbacks.
00:23:26Ron jaworski finished his list.
00:23:27Let's look what jaws had in his top five.
00:23:33Aaron rodgers tops it off, number one.
00:23:35Peyton manning.
00:23:36Coming in at number two, tom brady, joe flacco rounding out the top five.
00:23:41Matt ryan.
00:23:42Now, that's what jaws thinks.
00:23:44But I want to ask max kellerman himself to tell me what he thinks.
00:23:52>> Two of these guys don't belong there.
00:23:54>> You're going there?
00:23:56>> Let me start with this.
00:23:57>> Where are you at?
00:23:58>> Peyton manning, under normal circumstances is the greatest quarterback ever.
00:24:04But you have to factor in high leverage situations.
00:24:07>> I hear you there.
00:24:08>> Unquestionably not quite the same guy under pressure.
00:24:11>> Agreed.
00:24:12>> In the postseason as he's been in the regular season.
00:24:14>> That I agree with you there.
00:24:19>> Tom brady, on the other hand, when all is said and done.
00:24:21When you factor in the postseason, too, is arguably the greatest quarterback overall who ever lived.
00:24:25>> Ooh, look at you.
00:24:31>> He got the joe montana clutch kind of argument, plus the dan marino numbers kind of argument.
00:24:38>> You see eli manning coming?
00:24:41>> I'm switching these two.
00:24:43>> Look at you!
00:24:44>> He's peaking.
00:24:45I have some misgivings about this but I'm going to do it.
00:24:49He's still great.
00:24:51These two don't belong here at all.
00:24:52>> What are you going to do with them.
00:24:55>> Matt ryan.
00:24:56Top seven.
00:24:57Top 10.
00:24:58>> Where are you going?
00:25:01>> You going, dog?
00:25:04>> Drew brees.
00:25:05>> Oh!
00:25:07What?
00:25:08Where did you find that at?
00:25:09That's not down here.
00:25:10>> And by the way, I don't have to make the argument, this is common sense.
00:25:15He's like practically in the top three group knocking at the door.
00:25:19You're right, he would be practically at this point, unanimously considered the greatest quarterback ever if this guy never existed.
00:25:27But he does.
00:25:36Let me preface everything that I'm saying.
00:25:38Every single quarterback we see on this board -- >> oh!
00:25:42Oh!
00:25:44>> The short guy said -- no, chill out.
00:25:50I'm going to preface everything I say, that all these quarterbacks are prequaerbacks, elite quarterbacks, if you want to go there.
00:25:56With that said, you are very disrespectful.
00:26:02 smith would say, so disrespectful!
00:26:04You got this right, jaws.
00:26:07You got this right, max keller-woman.
00:26:12I don't understand where you're coming from when you want to switch this around, my favorite quarterback of all time.
00:26:17You know why?
00:26:18Because being on the football pressure -- >> he folds under pressure, too.
00:26:22>> Being on the football field, no one demanded more respect to the defenders.
00:26:26>> I get it.
00:26:27>> When we put our hands in the dirt, we're like this might be six points.
00:26:32>> Because of that guy.
00:26:34And under normal circumstances, the best ever.
00:26:36>> And tom brady at number three.
00:26:38You can take nothing away from them except the last two a.f.c.
00:26:41Championship games, hadn't won a super bowl since spy gate.
00:26:46>> The greatest quarterback ever, still more or less in the tail end of his prime, is third in the league.
00:26:51>> Ok.
00:26:56>> But every football player knows this.
00:26:58We can show up to monday morning meetingand coach says I'll give you one stat and you tell me who won that game.
00:27:03There's one specific that matters more than all.
00:27:06>> Turnovers.
00:27:07>> For that reason alone, my man, drew brees, former teammate, led the nfl -- led the nfl with 19 interceptions.
00:27:18>> Did you or did you not throw drew brees under the bus when you were with the charges.
00:27:23>> The bus ran by him.
00:27:25It ran him over.
00:27:26>> With that said, I don't know about that.
00:27:31>> And just for argument's sake , guess who finished right behind drew brees with 15 interceptions?
00:27:39Eli manning.
00:27:40So let me go back here and see if we have some other quarterbacks.
00:27:48>> Oh, I didn't know that we had -- >> what you got?
00:27:55>> Based on jaw's rankings, watching every snap of these guys last year and projecting where they'll be next year, I'm going with this.
00:28:13I know we had a limited role last year because he came off the bench in his second year in the nfl but guess what, third for all quarterbacks.
00:28:22>> Kaepernick was great.
00:28:24>> You think about it, going into a starting position, everything is moving a million miles an hour.
00:28:29It's going to throw down for this guy this year.
00:28:31>> On a team that almost got to the super bowl a year before.
00:28:34>> Exactly.
00:28:34He took them another step and made the pro bowl and came up short, still performed tremendously, especially in the second half of that game.
00:28:42With that said, I told you about the most important position of all.
00:28:46If you give me 20 touchdowns and only five interceptions -- oh!
00:28:53I got to love me some rg-3.
00:28:58With that said -- >> if he wasn't hurt, he'd also be in my top five.
00:29:02I like to see what he's got.
00:29:04>> I have trepidation to put him in the top five because of injury concerns from college and his rookie season but when you saw him throw the football, you're a giants' fan, tell me.
00:29:15>> Every once in a while you see a football player, lawrence
00:00:04Comip, why geno smith ets job and why ok to is a no with jerry jones saying no to the idea that jason garrett has stakey job security.
00:00:17The cowboys owner was asked his fourth-year head coach who is under contract for two more years.
00:00:23Andlook to the future with jason and not just thrgh this contract that we're sitting here with right now.
00:00:31For garret that jerry nipped the hot seat talk in the bud and took the pressure off of jason garrett, jemele.
00:00:40>> Off?
00:00:40It's on.
00:00:41He has done a lot to make sure this guy had success.
00:00:44They had bill callahan, monty can I haven.
00:00:52He said that he knows this team is better given the addition they have had coachingwise and what they got in the draft.
00:00:58Everybody is healthy.
00:00:59He feels like this is the cowboys' season.
00:01:02How does that actually let him off the hook?
00:01:04If anything, it puts him more on the hook.
00:01:07Jason garrett says he has been head coach, they haven't made the playoffs.
00:01:11How can this -- the cowboys' isn't one where you learn as you go.
00:01:17This is a premiere job in the nfl for the premiere team in the nfl.
00:01:20There is more pressure on jason garrett.
00:01:23>> I'll tell you why you're wrong in a second.
00:01:26Hugh.
00:01:27>> She is right on.
00:01:28I don't know why you take that chance.
00:01:31Look at jason garrett and the situation.
00:01:33Wade phillips, everybody talked how heir apparent for this cowboys' team and he was the offensive guru and jerry jones didn't want him to go anywhere and he gave him the job to stay in dallas.
00:01:48He has the job.
00:01:50For the first two seasons of his coaching career, 8-8, mike.
00:01:53When you look at the cowboys talent when he took over the team, they had a really talented roster.
00:01:58They were picked to go to the super bowl a few of those years when he was coaching that team.
00:02:02For you to think he is not under pressure when you fire your defensive coordinator, rob ryan, monty kiffin, runs the tampa two which puts your defense I position to succeed and your offensive coordinator, he was offensive coordinator coming in.
00:02:18Now he has had those duties taken from him and given to somebody else, to callahan, you don't think his job is on the line?
00:02:24>> You say like it's a bad thing.
00:02:29First of all, maybe we overestimated the level of talent on the cowboys.
00:02:31Maybe that's our fault.
00:02:32Maybe the person on the hot seat in dallas should be the manager.
00:02:38You see what I did there.
00:02:40You don't hire jason garrett, you don't hire him if you're going to fire him after 2 1/2 seasons.
00:02:49He is a young time that needs time to grow.
00:02:55Having tony romo taking over more game planning duties isn't a bad thing.
00:03:02You look at it's undermining his authority.
00:03:04It's helping him focus on the areas he struggled with, game management and overteam management.
00:03:07>> Which leads to our point, if he has done that to help them succeed, if he fails, how can he not be fired -- >> after three years?
00:03:13>> It hasn't been three years.
00:03:14If you want to back like hugh walked about wade phillips, he was head coach-in-waiting.
00:03:25>> He wasn't the head coach.
00:03:27>>Ies and they put it with jason garrett.
00:03:28>> The offensive coordinator.
00:03:28>> Before he was head coach, he was head coach.
00:03:31He has been in this job for longer three years.
00:03:34>> Undermining wade phillips, everybody talked how jason garrett was running the team -- he was running the team, mike.
00:03:41They were talking about a conflict about what kind of offense they wanted to run in big d.
00:03:48When you do that, michael, you're putting in a position where the offense is supposed to success.
00:03:52You're telling me you were supposed to succeed and give the offensive coordinator position to somebody else?
00:03:58>> You played under one head coach.
00:04:00Good times and bad, jeffrey lurie stuck with the same guy in andy reid.
00:04:09Tom cough lan is -- is on the hot seat.
00:04:13>> It's not the same.
00:04:14>> It is the same.
00:04:15You don't fire a coach every other year.
00:04:18>> They picked the right guy.
00:04:24There is no badge for mediocrity.
00:04:25>> You can't sit here and say that the douse are an elite franchise -- >> I'm saying if you want to be on the level with the steelers who picks mike tomlin, you ride with them even if they don't produce super bowl immediately.
00:04:39That's what I'm saying.
00:04:41I like jerry jones taking a long term view, if he wanted it right now, he would have hired somebody else.
00:04:48The long term view.
00:04:49>> I like your passion for monday.
00:04:50>> It's awful.
00:04:51Did jerry jones take the pressure off jason garrett?
00:04:54Fine, theumbers say no, the pressure is higher than there.
00:04:59The cowboys have missed the playoffs the last two seasons.
00:05:02Since 1970's, three coaches missed the playoffs three state season.
00:05:08Tom landry and dave campo.
00:05:11Both were fired following that season .
00:05:13>> Happy monday.
00:05:15>> Tom brady ain't go not worries.
00:05:17Brady told "sports illustrated"'s peter king has new england has plenty of chances left to win the super bowl.
00:05:26He added, I like about the this franchise we have got a shot every year.
00:05:30I love the fact that we were in title game last year, the super bowl the year before that and 14-2 the year before that.
00:05:36The patriots have been a playoff team nine of the last 10 seasons.
00:05:43Lately, they've felt like a great regular season team that can't close the deal.
00:05:45Brady saying new england has plenty of chances is kind of an overstatement.
00:05:49>> No, it's not.
00:05:51As long as brady is there, that window is open so long as he is there in 10 of the last 12 years, they have won at least, they have had double-digit seasons in 12 years.
00:06:02They also won the afc east, ok.
00:06:05No matter what, as long as tom brady is there and whoever is around him, they're there in the end.
00:06:13They have lost two super bowls and two conference title games since his last championship.
00:06:20Oh, no gronkowski to start the year maybe, no hernandez.
00:06:24They'll adapt, learn a name, aaron dobson, learn jake ballard.
00:06:30He'll make those guys into stars like everybody else into stars.
00:06:33>> I agree with mike on this one.
00:06:39When you look at the afc east, you have the buffalo bills that you play twice a year.
00:06:42You have the new york jets that you play twice a year and the miami dolphins that you play twice a year.
00:06:44Out of all of those three teams that I named, the only one that is going to give you some trouble is the miami dolphins.
00:06:50The jets do not have an identity.
00:06:52And the buffalo bills, they haven't been good since bruce smith left.
00:06:56So when you talk about being in a position to go to the playoffs every year and having a chance, he is exactly right.
00:07:01You have six wins.
00:07:02You got five if you split with miami and then you get five more wins outside of the division.
00:07:08When you look at the afc and whoever else they're going to two play, tom brady and bill belichick have it on lock running the up-tempo offense and keeping defenses confused.
00:07:20Not many can beat this team.
00:07:22>> Like the giants?
00:07:24Here is the problem with that, hugh, is that there is no question that the patriots are the class in their division.
00:07:30If you're putting them in a championship conversation, you have to measure them against the teams also in that conversation.
00:07:39It's not the teams in their division.
00:07:41It is teams like denver and san francisco.
00:07:42It's teams like maybe seattle, washington.
00:07:43These are the teams.
00:07:44When I look at what the patriots have versus what they have, it's hard for me to believe that the patriots have enough to beat those kind of teams?
00:07:53>> Why?
00:07:54They're in the mix every year.
00:07:55>> They're in the mix.
00:07:56There is always something missing with this team.
00:07:58They get it figured out at the wrong time.
00:08:00That's happened to them the last few seasons.
00:08:02>> I seem a lot of people recalling that about the baltimore ravens.
00:08:09Their window is closing.
00:08:10They won.
00:08:12They won.
00:08:13They handled their business.
00:08:14As long as the patriots are in the playoffs every year, which I pointed out to you they are, no matter how they get there, you have to consider them super bowl contenders.
00:08:24If they're not as dynamic drogue the ball, hugh, they can run the ball.
00:08:27They have garret blunt as a backup running back, too.
00:08:33>> When tom brady walks on the field, 14 to 21 points off the rip.
00:08:38Their defense has been lacking.
00:08:38They haven't been able to find a pass rusher or develop any players that can, the impact players of their own, they have to get some guys.
00:08:46It's been real tough for them.
00:08:48I still say with that roster and tom brady on it, you still got a chance to go to the bowl or the playoffs.
00:08:56>> It's a question of how much they'll be in the mix and how far.
00:08:58Being in the playoffs is not good enough for this team.
00:08:59They have to -- you have to look at them and say, you know what, I think they can win it all.
00:09:06I don't look at them and say i think they can win it all.
00:09:08>> You thought they could win it all every year since brady is proved to be elite.
00:09:14Hern there, gronkowski isn't there, is that the doubt?
00:09:16>> It's looking at the progression of this franchise.
00:09:19They seem to, again, get figured out at the wrong time.
00:09:22Yes, that offense is very powerful against the teams with the elite defenses, the teams going to the super bowl, we'll see.
00:09:32>> May i?
00:09:33>> Appreciate that.
00:09:34>> Vanna white.
00:09:36>> Vanna white, ok.
00:09:37>> Here we go.
00:09:38It took everything I had not to say antwan dotson.
00:09:47Brady can win another super bowl?
00:09:49The numbers do not agree.
00:09:51Only three quarterbacks in the super bowl era have won a title after turning 36, john elway because his team was really good around him, johnny unitas and jim plunkett.
00:10:04Ron jaworski has brady third in rankings right behind peyton manning.
00:10:09Two of us believe jaws got that wrong.
00:10:11I'm not telling you who.
00:10:12Tell us what you think by taking part in our twitter poll.
00:10:15The question is would you ratherave tom brady or peyton ?
00:10:20Reply using the #bradyvsmanning.
00:10:25Let's stay in the afc east wher jets rookie quarterback geno smith thinks he can win the starting job.
00:10:32Who will be under center opening day?
00:10:34The smart money seems to be on mark sanchez, but smith told the charleston west virginia gazette that he feels like he has a great shot to unseat sanchez and feels very comfortable with the jets system.
00:10:45I was thinking about this over the weekend.
00:10:47Real talk, if I were geno smith, I wouldn't want the starting quarterback job.
00:10:51I would rather sit and watch sanchez struggle.
00:10:55I wouldn't wt it.
00:10:56>> I don't understand.
00:10:57The more I sit here with you ramping up for football season, the more and more I get confused on your thought process.
00:11:04Why if I'm a young quarterback who has been slighted in fell in the draft, why would I want to sit behind somebody when i have so much to prove.
00:11:14Look at my competition.
00:11:16It ain't that fierce.
00:11:17It's not like I'm behind a tom brady.
00:11:27I'm not behind brett favre.
00:11:28You sit here and tell me that mark sanchez is casting this build old she do over the jets camp that I don't want to take his job, especially in a city where there are two teams with only one quarterback that really shines, why would not want to get some of that shine?
00:11:48>> If you're geno smith, you get a big benefit of the doubt.
00:11:50You get all of the benefit of the doubt that mark sanchez never got.
00:11:53You got a lot of equity, yeah, you're a rookie.
00:11:56Because you're the future, people will make a lot of excuses for you?
00:11:58>> Really?
00:11:59>> Are you familiar with jets fans?
00:12:03>> Oh, I'm familiar with them.
00:12:04Everybody is going to look at this team and say this is the fault of the management and rex ryan.
00:12:11Geno smith will get all of the credit and very few of the -- they're going to look at these offensive weapons, there is not a lot.
00:12:17They're going to say, hey, we got to grow and mature with our young guy.
00:12:21As a young guy, you want as many reps as possible.
00:12:24>> No you don't.
00:12:26>> Yes, you do?
00:12:27>> Who knows what santonio holmes is going to be.
00:12:29He is hurt, don't know when he is coming back.
00:12:32Kellen wins low can't stay healthy.
00:12:36The offensive line is shaky.
00:12:37Maybe chris ivery is ready to be an every-down running back for them.
00:12:41If I'm geno smith, it's the honeymoon period, the grace period.
00:12:45Why would I want to go out there and struggle behind the same poor supporting cast that has been the undoing of mark sanchez's career?
00:12:54There is no shelf life on franchise quarterbacks.
00:12:56A wise man once told me that.
00:12:58If geno smith is in fact the future franchise quarterback for this team, what's the hurry, hugh?
00:13:04The honeymoon will be over really quick the more interceptions he throats to the bad receivers of the jets.
00:13:11>> When way is the nfl trending when you look at the young quarterbacks, mobile and can throw behind shoddy offensive line, granted, the guys that are doing it right now, kaepernick and russell wilson, they have good offensive lines.
00:13:24When you have a quarterback that can run and have a shoddy offensive li, you want them mobile.
00:13:30You want them to be able to drop back and read defenses and see what they're doing.
00:13:33He can either pull it down and run it or throw it down the field.
00:13:37When you put that kind of pressure on anybody's defense, mike, it makes for a long day.
00:13:43A young quarterback back there like that that he is a wild card, you don't know what he brings to the table.
00:13:47>> You came up in philly, the eagles, donovan mcnabb didn't play off the rip.
00:13:53Andrew luck and rg-3 -- >> not only that, but, listen, when andy reid came in, when he said donovan wasn't going to start until he was ready.
00:14:02When donovan came up, they never looked back.
00:14:05When you saw him get in the game, the offenses ran twice.
00:14:08>> They didn't rush it is what I'm saying.
00:14:10Whats best for geno's development, it's not playing behind this offensive line or the supporting cast or lack thereof.
00:14:17>> We don't know, geno smith has a different skill set.
00:14:21There are things that he can do that mark sanchez can't.
00:14:24>> Mix that in.
00:14:25>> Who knows how that team will respond.
00:14:28If I'm geno smith I'm embracing this opportunity and another way to show people on the football team you're a leader.
00:14:33>> We already know what mark sanchez can do.
00:14:34Can we roll that film?
00:14:36>> No, we can't.
00:14:37>> No.
00:14:38>> A little bit of that film.
00:14:44>> No, left me hanging.
00:14:44>> Oh, man.
00:14:45>> Thank you.
00:14:48Thank you, dave, for rolling this film.
00:14:51This is what mark sanchez gives you.
00:14:52You want to see it again!
00:14:59It never gets hold for me.
00:15:00This just made my monday.
00:15:00This is what you're talking about, this is what you get?
00:15:02>> All day, all day.
00:15:04Was that saving the best for last?
00:15:06You waited for the conversation -- I thought they were going to leave me hanging.
00:15:09Good job in the control room over there.
00:15:11I thought they were going to leave me hanging.
00:15:13They came up big.
00:15:15Thank you very much.
00:15:15>> I can only stare at you in utter bewilderment as I often do.
00:15:22>> Should geno smith want the starting quarterback job for the jets?
00:15:27I say no.
00:15:28The numbers say no, not until the jets can protect the quarterback.
00:15:32>> The quarterback couldn't move.
00:15:35>> That was a sack right there.
00:15:35That wasn't the lineman's fault.
00:15:38I digress.
00:15:395% of their pass attempts last season, which was tied with the cardinals for the worst rate.
00:15:47>> That wasn't the lineman's fault.
00:15:48>> Ok, hugh, you just sit the next couple plays out.
00:15:53Ahead rg-3 has tweeted that he is clear to practice.
00:15:56Coming up, is it fair to have high expectations for the redskins after reconstructive knee surgery.
00:16:03A number you can't debate.

00:16:08Establishings last season had better ratings than mark sanchez.

00:19:42The number for von miller is four.
00:19:43He is facing a four-game suspension for violating nfl policy.
00:19:48Schefter reports it's unclear what the specific violation is, but miller is appealing the case.
00:19:52Hugh, if miller's appeal is unsuccessful, how big of a blow would this be to denver's super bowl hopes?
00:19:59>> You talk about one of the best pass rushers in theame not being out there.
00:20:02He was a big part of what they like to do.
00:20:04They could score 14 on you real quick.
00:20:08By not having him on the field, a if you have blow.
00:20:10>> Elvis dumervil.
00:20:11Three of the first four are at home.
00:20:14No cakewalk, they start 2-2, that could have ramifications down the road.
00:20:18>> He is a little bit older, but you want von miller there.
00:20:24>> We can all agree with that.
00:20:26Welcome back, everybody, to " I'm jemele hill, michael smith, hugh douglas.
00:20:30We're the cure for your case of the mondays.
00:20:33It looks like rg-3 is inching closer to curing any doubts that he'll be ready for week one.
00:20:41In fact, the redskins' q.b.
00:20:41Tweeted he'll be ready to go wednesday when training camp begins in richmond, how much rg-3 will practice hasn't been determined, but rg-3 tweeted that coach mike shanahan will ease me in.
00:20:53This is a remarkable development considering this is coming just six months after he had major reconstructive knee surgery.
00:21:00Adrian peterson already reset people's expectations of what could be accomplished after major surgery.
00:21:05Even though rg-3 has a history of knee issues, people are expecting rg-3 to pick up where he left off.
00:21:11I think that's unfair.
00:21:12What do you think, mike?
00:21:14>> That's unfair.
00:21:16We should expect him to be better.
00:21:17We focus on the physical.
00:21:19Everything we have been talking about is a condition of his knee.
00:21:22When he gets outside the pocket or runs the read option, how come we never talk about his mental capability?
00:21:29First of all he came in and pick up the nfl a lot quicker than many people thought he would coming out of baylor in that spread offense.
00:21:35So going into year two, you are laughing, hugh, you know what I'm talking about.
00:21:39>> I know.
00:21:39>> There is something to be said for his possibility, his light already came on.
00:21:43It might be into year two with a full season, not just rehab, learn more, work more in the system.
00:21:53They'll have fred davis back this year, maybe pierre garcon is healthy.
00:21:56Ynt can't he just effective pass rusher, than he was last year if not more effective?
00:22:01>> What is funny, jemele, mike is getting his fantasy mind going right now.
00:22:09He is trying to wrap himself up.
00:22:12Mike, you're talking about a young man who number one has to get his confidence back from being hurt last season.
00:22:18>> Yeah.
00:22:19>> For you to automatically assume he is like adrian peterson, that's ridiculous.
00:22:25>> I'm not saying that.
00:22:27>> You are setting the fans up for a big failure.
00:22:32Let him work his way back into the system.
00:22:34We don't know what kind of quarterback he is going to be running the read option.
00:22:40Ll you this, teams know that if you hit rg-3, he is going to break eventually.
00:22:45You don't want to put your franchise quarterback in that situation.
00:22:50You want to draft him on your fantasy roster and all of this other stuff, when was it that the redskins had a relevant quarterback?
00:22:58>> Exactly.
00:22:59You should be careful.
00:22:59>> Why are you putting him in the same situation and talking he is going to be the same guy?
00:23:03You know what you sound like right now?
00:23:05Crazy.
00:23:06You don't want to put your franchise quarterback in harm's way.
00:23:13>> I'm not saying that.
00:23:14Jemele.
00:23:14>> I'm saying that they needed -- I have been bothered by all of these constant injury updates since rg-3 got hurt.
00:23:18They need to temper expectations as opposed to bloating them.
00:23:22They don't know how he is going to respond.
00:23:23He has a history of knee issues.
00:23:26I know that in college, he was able to overcome sort of the mental decisions.
00:23:30When you're hurt, and it's one thing to have physical confidence, it's another to have mental confidence.
00:23:36We don't know yet and he didn't know yet when he gets out on that day, is he going to feel like the same player?
00:23:42It's going to take some adjusting.
00:23:45They need to allow him to adjust instead of making the fans saying we're getting rg-3 turbo or something like that.
00:23:51>> Speaking as a quarterback in high school, the thing that makes you most uncomfortable are people around your feet in the pocket.
00:24:01Hugh, you're talking about the read option.
00:24:03If he is a smarter runner and mike and kyle shanahan are smarter play callers, that's a good thing.
00:24:09I'm talking about 65% of his passes, 20 touchdowns against five picks and I'm talking about the passer.
00:24:15That guy can be better even if the runner is not as explosive.
00:24:18Do you understand what I'm saying?
00:24:21>> How did you tear your ?
00:24:22>> Well, here is what happened, the snap count was actually on two and the center snapped it on one.
00:24:31I wasn't ready for it.
00:24:32Instead of falling on the football, I tried to pick it up and because the line wasn't blocking, my leg got pinned.
00:24:40I got twisted.
00:24:42My left knee snapped.
00:24:43Guess who was ready for the start in training camp the following year, me, just in time to beat out eli manning how do you like them apples?
00:24:50>> Mike, never tell that story again.
00:24:52Tell somebody you got hurt running.
00:24:58Don't tell somebody it was a fumble.
00:25:00>> It was supposed to be on two and he snapped it on one.
00:25:07>> Dude -- >> snapped it on one.
00:25:09>> You need to protect the quarterback.
00:25:11My center's name was antoine.
00:25:12>> You need to protect your quarterback, mike.
00:25:14You need to give these lofty expectations for your fans for your team.
00:25:18You have to protect your quarterback, bottom line.
00:25:19>> You have to protect this show by not asking me these kind of questions.
00:25:23You should have known I was going to go there.
00:25:25>> I told I got the scar to prove it.
00:25:30>> We have lost control on a monday.
00:25:34>> Producer producers said ratings smust decide.
00:25:37>> Expect rg-3 to pick up where he left off?
00:25:39Numbers say no, it will be hard to replicate 2012 success.
00:25:43No quarterback has had multiple seasons of at least 800 rushing yards and 3 >> houston's erik bedard pulls himself in the seventhnning of his no hit bid against the mariners saying I have had three shoulder surgeries.
00:26:05I'm not going over 110 pitches.
00:26:07I would rather pitch a couple more years than face another batter.
00:26:13The manager wouldn't have kept him in more than 120 pitches anyway.
00:26:18So bedard should be applauded, applauded, I say, for being smart and giving up the ball, hugh.
00:26:24>> I don't know about smart, mike.
00:26:28When I saw it, I saw his reaction when the coach is walking out there with the general manager, he was like no, can you, no, no.
00:26:35It wasn't even up for discussion.
00:26:38I understand what he is talking about.
00:26:40Coming off three shoulder surgeries, pitchers for whatever reason nowadays, they have a pitch count in their head.
00:26:45They don't want to go over that pitch count.
00:26:50110 Pitches, 6 1/3 innings.
00:26:56Mike, when you're looking at the shoulder surgery coming up, you can't -- >> why?
00:27:01>> Quit being nice.
00:27:02Quit being nice.
00:27:03>> The bottom line.
00:27:04>> If you were erik bedard would you have given up the ball some >> no, I wouldn't have did it.
00:27:10>> Here is my big issue with it.
00:27:12We always here how athletes are bigger, faster, stronger, medicine is so advanced.
00:27:18Yet we keep treating guys he is so fragile, one extra pitch, he was going to blow his shoulder?
00:27:25>> Maybe.
00:27:25>> He should know better than anybody how important it is to seize moments like this.
00:27:31This is exactly why the astros have been losing, a mentality like this.
00:27:36No, coach, I'm done.
00:27:37I'm good.
00:27:38A no-hitter, really?
00:27:40You're going to tap out?
00:27:42What, no respect for that.
00:27:43>> Once again, he was all over the place.
00:27:46>> He had five walks.
00:27:47>> He looked like -- >> he had five walks and 10 strikeouts.
00:27:51First of all, I'm shocked at you mr. give me my money.
00:27:55He is on a one-year deal in houston.
00:27:59Who cares no-hitters?
00:28:01>> Who cares?
00:28:02>> How many hitters since 2010?
00:28:0618 Of them, 18 no-hitters since 2010.
00:28:09There is one every week.
00:28:10There have been 10 in history.
00:28:11>> The no-hitters aren't special.
00:28:14>> I don't care about bedard throwing a no-hitter against the mariners.
00:28:17There have been 10 no-hitters by combined pitchers where guys have not finished it.
00:28:22For eric bedard to say you know, my career is more important than a no-hitter should give me a little love on the highlights last night.
00:28:32>> Can't get your money if you're hurt.
00:28:34>> Thank you.
00:28:35So you're on my side.
00:28:37You would have given it up, too?
00:28:40>> Not really, pride is really.
00:28:41>> Exactly.
00:28:42>> Look at that.
00:28:46>> No, it's not that tough.
00:28:48You are a competitor, ok, there is nothing -- I know money is comforting to us all, but the point is you're in a position that you rarely are in if you're a pitcher.
00:29:02Devalueate the no-hitter like that?
00:29:03>> It happens so infrequently.
00:29:06>> It is special.
00:29:07>> No, it's not.
00:29:08>> Having a no-hitter on my resume when I'm going into -- at the e of the year, that is a good look, michael.
00:29:16>> Thank you.
00:29:18>> In the off-season, 34, if he is hurt, I have a no-hitter -- >> you blame it on one more pitch or a couple more pitches.
00:29:25>> Jamie would probably be still pitching.
00:29:30He would be 60.
00:29:30>> Talk to johann santana.
00:29:31>> That no-hitter was not the
