00:00:28>> Judge Judy: You weren't getting any other aid.
00:00:30You made a living record-producing?

00:00:445,000 investment from her.
00:00:47And you're gonna show me the $5,000 check, right?
00:00:49>> Yes, your honor.
00:00:50>> Judge Judy: Good.
00:00:51What kind of venture did you plan on going into with ms. maldonado?
00:00:56>> It's a multimedia e-commerce platform.
00:00:59The actual investment was $20,000.
00:01:02$5,000 Was to start working on the project -- lawyers, research, webpage designers, and all of that.

00:01:30>> Judge Judy: You're gonna be able to show me that, I assume.
00:01:34And you're going to be able to show me the checks for the lawyer, right, mr. navarro?
00:01:41You said you paid for lawyers, webpage designers.
00:01:46Let's just start with that.
00:01:47You following where I'm going, sir?

00:01:57>> I don't have it, your honor.
00:01:58>> Judge Judy: Where did you think you were coming today, mr. navarro?
00:02:01If you had a business venture with the plaintiff and you said you spent her $5,000, 'cause you invested nothing on lawyers and webpage designers for this new project, then you would have proof.
00:02:15Where's your proof?
00:02:16>> I don't have it, your honor.
00:02:18>> Judge Judy: Why not, mr. navarro?

00:03:10 navarro, that sounds like an awful stroke of bad luck for maldonado that you've been supporting yourself and four children for 20 years.
00:03:20All of a sudden, you take in a partner and you lose her money.
00:03:23You got where I'm going?

00:03:45You needed it for lawyers, webpage designers.
00:03:48What does that have to do with recording her brother's band?
00:03:52>> Because it was part of the deal that I recorded her brother's band, to put that act -- to sell that act on the independent label and to launch it into the e-platform -- commerce webpage.
00:04:04>> Judge Judy: Show me where you spent her money on web designers and the lawyer, which is where you said you spent the money.
