00:00:46>> With only three weeks before the treasury secretary says the government will run out of money, president obama is raising campaign cash and talking about deficit reduction out west.

00:00:59Senate majority leader harry reid is in china there is hardly anyone on capitol hill except for tourists and the halls of the capital are mostly empty.
00:01:08Talks of blair house on reducing the deficit won't begin until next month but democrats and republicans are locking in their positions right now.
00:01:15>> Just as ignoring deficits would mortgage the future, failing to invest in kids and infrastructure and basic research and clean energy would be mortgaging our future as well.
00:01:24>> Reporter: Earlier in month, tim geithner told congress the government could be out of money may 16 but warned the longer congress fails to act, the more we we risk investors here around around the world will lose confidence to ability to meet our commitment and " some analysts say we may be out of money sooner than geithner thinks.
00:01:47The white house says failing to act by july 8 would be catastrophic.
00:01:51>> The consequences of failing to raise the credit ceiling would be armageddon like in terms of the economy.
00:01:58>> Reporter: Some democrats are pushing for a vote to raise the debt ceiling without agreement on the deficit reduction, something even the president rejected.
00:02:05House majority leader eric cantor said in a statement despite the wake-up call sent by s&p this week, democrats want a free pass to keep spending money we don't have.
00:02:17Some republicans, including texas congressman ron paul say they won't vote to extend the debt ceiling.
00:02:24The president says the two parties are in sync on how much to cut.
00:02:28>> General agreement on the need to cut $4 trillion.

00:02:37>> The aides concede "medium term" is a dozen year as obama sees it but only ten for republicans.
00:02:44The white house downplays the two-year time difference but it means the the deficit would be reduced under $10 trillion 4 trillion for republicans based on the congressional budget office figures and independent analysis as the republicans and the democrats overstate their savings by half a trillion dollars.

00:08:39Becker eventually rose to the board through a recess appointment.
00:08:42Becker and the board of three democrats and one republican may soon decide thefuture of boeing in south carolina.
00:08:51>> If this dispute continues beyond june appearance before a judge it will go to full national relations board.
00:08:56If there is still no resolution, boeing and the union would head to the federal court system.

00:09:03Federal aviation administration says it fired two air traffic controllers for sleeping on the job.
00:09:08The agency says controller in knoxville, tennessee, deliberately slept five hours despite attempts by a co-worker to wake him in a shift in february.

00:09:21Meanwhile, the faa says the controller involved in the close call for airplane carrying the first lady monday will not be punished.

00:16:23The new report by "it" security firm and leading think tank concludes that cyber attacks on critical infrastructure, including mass transit, banks and power grid are up.
00:16:33 government and private sector ability to detect and deal with attacks is not keeping pace.
00:16:39The report says, "two-fifths of the "it" exectives establish major incident causing outage of 24 hours, loss of life or failure of xen in their sector within the " to show what a cyber attack might look like, experts point to northeast blackout in 2003 that wiped out power in eight states of coursing 45 million americans in the northeast and midwest, as well as 10 million people in canada.

00:17:12Cyber attack not to blame, study report that security experts anticipate something similar in the near future.
00:17:20Critical infrastructure owner and operator report the network and control system are under repeated cyber attack from high-level adversaries like foreign nation of state.
00:17:30The vast majority of the critical infrastructure is held by the private company not the government.
00:17:35Given the economic picture, former secretary of the homeland security michael chertoff told fox companies are facing tough choices.
00:17:41>> There is a real concern.
00:17:44Particularly top economic period that until there is some really bad event, many people will delay or avoid investment in cyber security.
