00:07:28- We literally crawled across this area, using our trowels and moving the roots and, uh, moving the grass blades and looking down beneath the grass.
00:07:36And every timewe found a bone fragment or somethingthe police department considered might be evidence, we'd put an orangepin flag out.
00:07:44- Before they were done, the yard was dotted with dozens of orange flags.
00:07:48- When you find bone in an old archaeological site, the bone is very dry.
00:07:53This bone still had a greasy feel to it.
00:07:55So we knew it had not been there, uh, very long, but at the same ti, it had been there more than a week or a couple weeks.
00:08:03There was no soft tissue still attached to it.
00:08:07- There were bones everywhere, even inside the barbecue grill.
00:08:12- I picked it up and looked at it, and I was sure it was a human hand bone, because it has a distinctive shape, although it's very small, maybe a half an inch or so.

00:08:21- The archaeologists found even more bones in the barbecue, all of them from human hands.
00:08:27- Are you sure?
00:08:28 hard and his team collected bone fragments, 200 in all.
00:08:33Most had been chopped into pieces less than 3 inches long.

00:08:40Some type ofchipper/shredder has been discussed quite a bit.
00:08:43It's the only machine that we can come up with that could possibly account for this type of breakage.

00:08:56We can't think of anything else that would break up bone like this.
00:09:00- Once again, leonard rizzo had some explaining to do.
00:09:04- I've never even operated a wood chipper.
00:09:11Uh, other than a car dolly, uh, maybe a trailer.
00:09:19--Did not operate a wood chipper, uh, never have.
00:09:23- The lack of a conclusive dna test or other hard evidence meant that no arrest could be made.
00:09:29Leonard rizzo continued to insist that he had nothing to do with his wife's disappearance he bones in his backyard.
00:09:37- Those bone fragments and such, where they came from, I don't know how they got there.
00:09:42I don't know, and I adamantly did not kill them or anyone else.
00:09:50- For 2 years, there were no new developments in this case.
00:09:54Then, leonard rizzo was arrested for attacking his girlfriend.
00:09:58He was convictedon 4 criminal counts, including assault witha deadly weapon and kidnapping.
00:10:05Later, dna tests revealed that all the bone fragments were in fact those of monika rizzo.

00:25:11On the way to shreveport, wendi picked up two friends for an afternoon of shopping.
00:25:17Later, the trio hooked up with a young man known only as tommy.
00:25:25That night, they all hit a party at another friend's house.
00:25:29- And I'm told that wendi had quite a bit to drink that night.
00:25:35When it came time for themto take tommy back home, she didn't want to drive.
00:25:40In fact, she didn't want to go with him at all.
00:25:45- Tommy later claimed that he was worried about wendi, so he went back to the party in his own car.

00:26:575 Months after wendi's disappearance, tommy, whose real name was robert stewart, was arrested for check fraud.

00:29:27- When they gave me the information the car was burned and lee wasn't there, then my wildest fears just became a reality.

00:30:38Lee young had recently contacted federal drug agents.
00:30:42He suspected that his bank was being used by a money-laundering ring.
00:30:46- Our sources in new york have traced it ..
00:30:49- Lee was investigating a major drug cartel in colombia within 6 months prior to his disappearance, and the case was stillongoing, as a matter of fact, at the timeof his disappearance.

00:31:06He left a restaurant in scottsdale at around 12:30 p.m.
00:31:10He was never seen again.
00:31:13However, lee or someone else did use his car phone later that afternoon.
